HP Slate 500 Windows-Based Tablet Gets Official

HP has officially announced their newest Windows-based tablet, the Slate 500. Aimed at business users, the Slate 500 sports an 8.9-inch 1024 x 600 LED-backlit capacitive touchscreen display, a 1.86GHz Intel Atom Z540 processor, an Intel GMA 500 graphics card, a 2GB RAM, a 64GB SSD, an SD card slot, a front-facing VGA camera, a 3-megapixel camera at the back, 1080p Full HD video playback support, WiFi, Bluetooth, stereo speakers, a 2-cell battery and runs on Windows 7 Professional OS. The HP Slate 500 will retail for $799, however, there’s no word on the exact release date yet. Check out the HP Slate 500 Promo video after the break.
